[seize the day] dun u just wish love was as simple as in the movies.. boy meets girl, boy and girl are at loggerheads with each other and start thrashing at each other, but somehow amidst all the animosity they see a different side to each other and start to fall in love.. and somehow no matter how much they try to twist the plot, the couple almost always end up together.. wat a load of bullcrap.. hah just some random thots tt came to mind after watching alex and emma.. nice show but somewhat of a cliche.. anyway got a pic of the sungei kadut factory fire from dick so check it out..

cool shit huh.. i kinda miss fire fighting, haven' t been doing anything related to it recently.. all the medical training and admin matters.. interesting but abit on the dry side.. the only plus side is cute and pretty paramedics haha.. anyway i finally bought the k800i.. and it's sweet.. but wah i'm broke this month.. just hoping for pay day to come soon.. gonna go shop for a new pair of jeans tmr maybe but it depends if i feel like going out.. i have a strong feeling tt i'll just end up watching the CSI dvds i borrowed from jerry haha.. ah well.. dun really feel like blogging anymore for tonight.. suddenly ran out of things to say.. gd nite

anyway it's been a long boring but memorable week.. i have to say the HTBC was alot better than i thot it would be, especially towards the end.. i really regret not having interacted with the other SOs earlier instead of just laying down on my bed the entire night.. but well life's gonna go back to normal pretty soon, especially cos the fasting month is coming to an end and ippt is in a couple of weeks time.. it's gonna be all out pt mayhem the next few weeks.. ahh well, it's definitely a needed change, i feel so damn unfit that i feel sick.. anyway it's getting, i'm gonna get some slp..

[lonely nation] i honestly think that i'm going a lil crazy.. i can't really say cos it's really weird but yeah.. anyway this week has been a pretty sucky one.. started out with losing my phone on the bus, just hope the dude that recovered it didn't gimme a false number.. then BOC spent the entire week over at home team academy for the home team basic course.. the people are interesting and fun lot but the lectures are horribly boring.. i can't stand it.. just sitting there the entire day and just having lectures.. it's driving me insane i swear!! all i did was go for lectures, eat and slp.. gd thing i'm fasting or i'd be a lot fatter now.. only managed to do one run cos the other evenings were all taken up for either games or social nite rehearsals.. but i have to say there are some really cute girls around haha.. but tt's besides the point.. ah well.. 3 more days to go and i'm back in CDA baby.. WOOHOO!!!

[crazy] this week has certainly been a hell of an interesting week.. i'm not talking abt the lectures but the LPG training we had on thursday and today's turn out to the PPG industries fire at sungei kadut.. i had never been so excited in my life, my first ever turn out and i've only had my fire badge for like 2wks or so.. i didn't even think we'd have the chance to turn out as cadets, but it was definitely one heck of an experience.. i knew fire fighting was tough but after the LPG and PPG fire, my whole perspective on fire-fighting and scdf has changed.. i really respect all those fire-fighters who risk their lives to protect others and their property.. definitely not a job for those weak at heart and mind.. the discomfort, weight and heat from wearing a BA set and bunker gear can really be overbearing, and when u actually go into the fire-involved area to set up the hoses and mitigate the fire, it just becomes a million times worse.. anyway the fire scene was really chaotic, everything was totally destroyed by the fire, there was smoke everywhere and the smell was almost unbearable as it had a choking effect, making it difficult to enter the building without the use of a BA set.. and inside, though the fire had died down considerably, it was still really hot and there were small fires everywhere which made the situation even worse as small fires could easily rekindle into big fires.. and there were hundreds of barrels of very flammable liquid tt was in danger of exploding making it even more dangerous but somebody's gotta do the job.. my experience fighting the fire was extremely tiring.. i was on top of a ladder manning an incredibly heavy charged hose by myself and the fire was basically in every direction.. when i extinguished the fire on one side and went to fight the one on the other, the previous fire would rekindle again after i was done with the other.. and there were walls of paint cans blocking my jet stream from hitting the fire directly.. it was like a stupid cat and mouse game that had no end.. the fatigue and chaos really got to me quite abit since i was also fasting and was really dehydrated.. when i was asked to exit the premises by the officer, i couldn't be happier but tt was when fatigue really came in.. i almost felt like puking when i removed my face mask as nausea set in.. not a very pleasant feeling.. but after all the suffering and getting scolded by other officers, i've realised how lucky i was to not be posted to ocs.. heh
